Las Vegas Raiders Offensive Grades: 2022 Week 5

Quarterback

It was an interesting night for Derek Carr. Almost half of his yards came on his two long touchdowns, which are good and bad. Coming into the game, Carr was not having success down the field, having only completed 33% of his passes, so to connect with Davante Adams twice was a huge positive. On the other hand, the passing offense did not have much rhythm overall.

He only had 19 completions on the night, and he underthrew a couple of passes. Even the first touchdown was underthrown, but Adams was so wide open it did not matter.

Carr also extended some plays on third down that were very impressive, and it seems he is doing that a bit more often this season.

There were still some issues with him taking a bad intentional grounding and an ill-advised jump ball to Mack Hollins in the endzone, but it was a decent performance overall.
