Las Vegas Raiders have a chance to go on a run after the bye week

The Las Vegas Raiders may look dead in the water at 1-4, but after the bye week, the schedule is lined up for them to make a serious run.
It has been a terrible start to the 2022 NFL season for the Las Vegas Raiders, as they came into the year with so much promise after an undefeated preseason slate. Since then, they have struggled nearly every week, have not shown the ability to put teams away, and have been one of the more frustrating teams in the NFL this season.
However, the Raiders have also been in every game they have played, and showed the world they can hang with anybody in their Monday night loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 5. They have a new task at hand after the bye week, and that is reestablishing themselves as a legitimate playoff contender, a task that could be aided by a soft schedule right out of the break.
If things go the Raiders’ way, they could change the narrative of their 2022 season in a hurry.
Las Vegas Raiders could win seven straight after the bye week
After the break, the Raiders will take on the lowly Houston Texans, a team they should beat handily. In fact, the AFC South as a whole has been terrible this season, so the fact that they play Houston, Indianapolis, and Jacksonville in three of the first four games after the break is huge for the Silver and Black.
In the middle of those four games is the New Orleans Saints, who are a very beatable team with question marks all over their roster. After the run against New Orleans and the AFC South, the Raiders play both Denver and Seattle, a team they have already beaten, and a team that has played well in Seattle, but also one that seems a bit fluky after a strong start.
From there, a home game against the Chargers, a team they should beat at home, and a Week 14 matchup against the Rams, who have been one of the worst offenses in football this season.
Of course, Las Vegas has to do its job, and actually start closing games, and stacking wins, but this is a schedule that favors them in a big way. Yes, they are not likely to win them all, but the stage is set for what could be a very special run across the final weeks of October, and into November and December.
