Las Vegas Raiders: Young defensive stars have future looking bright

It all starts with the man coming off the edge, and that man is Maxx Crosby, a player who will be in the Silver and Black for years to come. Crosby has been the heart and soul of this Raiders defense since being taken in the fourth round back in 2019, and this season, he is playing on a whole other level.
In fact, Crosby is in line to nab his first Defensive Player of the Year honor, an award that has not been won by a member of the Silver and Black since Khalil Mack. To date, Crosby has six sacks across five games, putting him at an incredible pace, and it seems like every play he is disrupting the quarterback in some way.
In the Week 5 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, Crosby finally got some help from Chandler Jones, a veteran and former All-Pro who had not done much through the first four games. If he continues on this pace, he will likely grab his first All-Pro nod and could end up being the best defensive player in the entire AFC.
