The Las Vegas Raiders take on the Houston Texans in Week 7, and here are the early odds and prediction for this AFC battle inside Allegiant Stadium.

On Sunday afternoon, the Las Vegas Raiders will start back up their 2022 NFL season, after having their bye week in Week 5. While the bye week was early this season, it may have come at the perfect time, as the Silver and Black were reeling after the loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday night.

For Las Vegas, they need to take advantage of a soft schedule in the coming weeks, and finally play up to their abilities. Their opponent on Sunday, the Houston Texans, are a one-win team coming into this game, and while they are coming off their bye week as well, they are a very beatable team for this Raiders unit.

Raiders vs Texans Odds Week 7

According to FanDuel Sportsbook, the Raiders are solid favorites at home in this one, as they are currently giving 7.0 points in this match-up. Betting on the Silver and Black straight up would win you very little money, as they are currently -300, but an upset for the Texans would come in at +245. The over/under for this contest is set at 45.5, so the oddsmakers do not see this one being a shootout at all.

Raiders vs Texans Prediction Week 7

This is one of those make-or-break weeks for the Raiders, as a loss to the Houston Texans would all but eliminate them from being a legitimate playoff contender. The Texans have proved themselves to be a scrappy team this season, winning one game, and tying another, but in terms of overall talent, the Las Vegas Raiders have a massive advantage.

Las Vegas also has the added bonus of playing at home, and with both teams coming off the bye week, both should be mostly healthy. The Silver and Black suffered a tough loss with Nate Hobbs going on IR, but this Texans passing attack is nothing to write home about, so they should be fine in the secondary even without him.

For the Raiders, they have to take care of business in Week 7, and I believe they will not only cover the spread but come away with a decisive victory inside Allegiant Stadium. That should set them on the right path to winning a few in a row, erasing an early-season drought, and getting back in the mix in the AFC.

Final Score: Raiders 31, Texans 20
