Predicting the rest of the Las Vegas Raiders 2022 schedule

Week 8: Las Vegas Raiders @ New Orleans Saints

Long gone are Drew Brees and Sean Payton. However, the Dennis Allen-led Saints still have a potent offense. A unit that will surely test Patrick Graham’s secondary, the Saints currently have an offense that ranks 11th with 23.5 points scored per game.

The Saints’ rushing offense is going to test the might of the Raiders’ front seven as well. As of this publication, Allen’s team ranks in the top 10 for several key categories, including rushing yards (909), rushing attempts (170), and rushing yards per attempt (5.3).

Prediction: Loss

Record: 2-5, 1-2 AFC West

Week 9: Las Vegas Raiders @ Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jaguars have quickly become the league’s upstart team, and though they now sit at 2-4, Doug Pederson has this team trending in the right direction. In a game where on defense the Raiders will face off against a familiar face in Zay Jones, Derek Carr will go off against the Jaguars’ secondary that’s surrendered 1,467 passing yards this season, good for 25th in the NFL. The Raiders win big as Carr throws for four touchdowns.

Prediction: Win

Record: 3-5, 1-2 AFC West

Week 10: Indianapolis Colts vs. Las Vegas Raiders

In a duel of elite-level quarterbacks, Allegiant Stadium will welcome All-Pro signal-caller Matt Ryan. Assuming that Jonathan Taylor is healthy and good to go for this game, the Raiders defense could be in trouble. Indy sports a top-five offense in terms of passing yards, so if the Raiders’ secondary isn’t up to full speed, it could be a long day. However, McDaniels will opt to heavily run the ball with Jacobs in this one. The Colts are surrendering 4.1 yards per carry right now, so look for Jacobs to average upwards of five yards in that category.

Prediction: Win

Record: 4-5, 1-2 AFC West
