Las Vegas Raiders vs Texans 2022 Week 7: Bold Predictions

Renfrow finishes with 10+ receptions for 100+ receiving yards

Las Vegas will likely be without star tight end Darren Waller for Sunday’s game as he continues to nurse a hamstring injury that forced him to leave Week 5 early. The Raiders’ offense must emulate the next-man-up mantra, but that doesn’t mean a newcomer needs to come in and save the day in Waller’s absence.

Perhaps it’s finally time for an established core piece to have his breakout game of the season.

Hunter Renfrow, long admired as one of Derek Carr’s trustworthy targets in the slot, has been anything but through the Raiders’ 1-4 struggles. But Week 7 must be the turning point for this team, and that could be predicated on a big performance from Renfrow.

The Texans are allowing an average of 249.4 yards through the air, which ranks 22nd in the NFL. It’s no secret that they will look to contain Davante Adams, but that only opens up the door for Renfrow to make his biggest impact of the season so far. We predict him to take that opportunity and run with it, as he tallies a season-high 10+ receptions with 100+ receiving yards.
