The Las Vegas Raiders are 2-4 entering Week 8, and here, we look at the biggest surprises of the 2022 season thus far.

The Las Vegas Raiders are off to a disappointing 2-4 start this season in Josh Mcdaniels’ first year as head coach. After finishing 2021 the way they did, there were naturally higher expectations coming into 2022 with a revamped roster and new coaching staff.

The way it sits right now, the Raiders got off to a rough start but are still very much in the playoff race with a lightening-up of the schedule coming in the next few weeks. Going to the Chargers on opening day was always going to be tough. Hosting the Cardinals in Week 2 wasn’t going to be easy knowing how well Arizona plays on the road these days.

Visiting Tennessee and Kansas City for the next 2/3 weeks was also always going to be an uphill battle. But now that stretch is over and the Raiders have nothing but extremely winnable games the rest of the way.

With seven weeks under the belt, I’d like to take a look at five of the biggest surprises about this Raiders team thus far because there are aspects that have really taken me aback.
