Las Vegas Raiders X-Factors against the Saints in 2022 Week 8

Raiders’ Red zone efficiency

Las Vegas’ win over the Texans last week was rightfully highlighted by Josh Jacobs’ 143 yards on the ground with three touchdowns, but another key stat should not be glossed over. The Raiders were a perfect 3-for-3 in the red zone, the first time this season they have gone perfect on multiple scoring opportunities.

It is a stat that has regularly plagued the Raiders this season, but perhaps last week’s performance will mark the turnaround point for this team.

The return of Darren Waller remains to be seen for Sunday’s matchup, but regardless the Raiders’ offense boasts too much talent to remain inefficient in the red zone. After including last week’s performance, Las Vegas is tied for 15th in red zone touchdown scoring percentage (54.55%). Much of the Raiders’ frustrations this season has been the inability to finish drives by putting points on the board.

The goal remains the same in Week 8: to come away with six points on the end of drives and not just field goals.
