Las Vegas Raiders: What surprised us in the Week 8 loss to the Saints

The Outcome

There are no two ways about it. The Las Vegas Raiders were trounced by the New Orleans Saints on Sunday, playing one of the worst games I can remember seeing in a long time. The offense was downright bad, the Saints were able to do whatever they wanted against the defense, and in the end, it was total domination by the Saints.

Going into this game, I expected the offense to roll, especially with Marson Lattimore out, but it was clear from the get-go that was not going to be the case. In all phases of the game, the Raiders were outclassed by the Saints, and the effort left you wondering whether or not the season is over.

Maybe Las Vegas can bounce back over the next few weeks, but with five losses already, there is no room for error the rest of the way. This was a team that was healthier, more talented, and coming off a big win on Sunday, but in the end, they did not show up, and that was not only disappointing but a possible dagger to their playoff hopes.
