Buccaneers CB Sean Murphy-Bunting
When the Tampa Bay Buccaneers won the Super Bowl in 2021, their defense was a big part of the recipe and particularly the play of their defensive backs. Sean Murphy-Bunting was one of the better players in that secondary and he had his best season of his short career.
Murphy-Bunting has struggled to stay healthy since that season as he has been dealing with quad issues but many believe that he is close to 100% and ready to contribute. The young CB has plenty of experience as a starter in the NFL and is making just $1.41 million for the rest of this season so he is available and cheap for any team that wants him.
Tampa may be looking for a day 3 pick for this young player rather than simply losing him at the end of this season and they have been using him less and less as the season has gone on. The Raiders could use the rest of the season to evaluate Murphy-Bunting and at just 25 he could also be a long term answer for this team if he plays well down the stretch run.
