Observations From Josh McDaniels’ Words After Raiders Shutout Loss
Las Vegas Raiders head coach Josh McDaniels is having a rough go at it so far in 2022.
Starting 2-5 was likely not what the former New England Patriots offensive coordinator had in mind. However, here we are. With the season now hanging in the balance as the Raiders travel to Jacksonville, McDaniels had some time to regroup on Monday and afterward shared some insight into what went wrong and, more importantly, how the Silver and Black can move forward.
Most people understood that getting McDaniels’ offense to take off was going to take time. Inconsistencies and struggles were going to take place. At the same time, an offense that featured Davante Adams, Josh Jacobs, Darren Waller, and Hunter Renfrow carried lofty expectations.
Looking back, it’s quite mind-boggling that the team’s brass didn’t do more to address the offensive line. Simultaneously, the Raiders’ brain trust invested many resources in the defensive side of the ball, and now in Week 9, there’s nothing to show for it.
It’s all just a giant disappointment, and that’s putting it nicely.
