The enigma that has been the 2022 season for Las Vegas Raiders tight end Darren Waller continues. Are fans getting tired of it?

The Raiders’ first season under the duo of Josh McDaniels and Dave Ziegler has been demoralizing for fans, who feel dejected. Offseason hype created by those same fans and fueled by the media has compounded the situation for the Raiders. The team’s brass acquired superstar wide receiver Davante Adams and figured that adding him to a group that already featured Waller as well as Hunter Renfrow and Josh Jacobs would be enough.

As we’ve seen, that hasn’t been the case.

For example, the offensive line didn’t receive any major additions via trade or free agency. Instead, two rookies were drafted, and the rest of the unit was going to improve with coaching. At least that’s how it appears from the outside in.

Waller, for his part, was given a new deal despite still being under contract after this season. Funny enough, fans on social media were clamoring for Waller to “get his money.” Fast forward to Week 9, and things have taken a turn.
