The Las Vegas Raiders get some good news from the Thursday injury report with a positive update on Davante Adams

Last week leading up to the game against the New Orleans Saints, the Las Vegas Raiders had a lengthy injury report due to what seemed like a bug that went around the locker room. Davante Adams was the headliner as he was suffering from a flu all week and it looked like it affected him on Sunday as he had just one catch for three yards.

To be fair the entire offense looked horrible on Sunday but Adams looked uncharacteristically bad as he dropped a catchable ball on the sideline and didn’t have his usual burst. He was still listed as a limited participant all week but on Thursday he had a full practice and looks to be over the flu leading up to a big game in Jacksonville.

Derek Carr is reportedly dealing with a back injury that has impacted his mechanics but he was still a full participant on Thursday and should be good to go for Sunday. Darren Waller is still listed as limited due to the hamstring injury he suffered against Kansas City and it would be a surprise if he played Sunday.

It would be a massive boost to this offense if he plays so we will hold out hope that he makes some strides before kickoff. He was a game-time decision in Week 8 so that may boost his chances this week as well.

Raiders Injury Report

Here is the rest of the injury report released by the team on Thursday:

  • QB, Derek Carr (back): Full
  • LB, Divine Deablo (back/wrist): Limited
  • DL, Neil Farrell Jr. (knee): Limited
  • WR, Mack Hollins (hee): Limited
  • TE, Darren Waller (hamstring): Limited
  • CB, Sam Webb (hamstring/back): Full
  • G, John Simpson (ankle): Full
  • LS, Trent Seig (ankle): Full

All of the limited participants should be able to play on Sunday though Waller is the biggest doubt due to recent history. Having the offense at full strength for the first time in weeks would be a big boost to this team’s hopes and would make keeping their season alive just a little bit easier.

Injuries are part and parcel of life in the NFL but the Raiders seem to be particularly snake-bitten on offense where they have not had a full-strength unit since Week 2. Whether it’s Hunter Renfrow out with a concussion or Waller out with a hamstring, there was always an issue with the offensive weapons but there is a good chance that changes this weekend. Fingers crossed that Derek Carr gets his full arsenal on Sunday and the Raiders come away with a much-needed victory.
