Raiders 2023 NFL Mock Draft Round 1

While some point to this being the draft where the Raiders finally select a replacement for Derek Carr, it won’t be in the first round. The fact is, the Raiders pass rush has been nonexistent save for Maxx Crosby’s efforts. Drafting the top pass rusher in this year’s class is the obvious choice here.

Las Vegas needs to rebuild that defensive line if it hopes to be competitive in the near future. Chandler Jones can be chalked up as a disappointment, but the Raiders still need to get Crosby some help before his career is wasted. Anderson will be everything that fans had hoped Jones would be.

In the last two years under Nick Saban, Anderson has tallied 24.5 sacks and 44 tackles for a loss. Last year was notable for Anderson, as he was No. 1 in both the SEC and the entire country for sacks (14.5). A premier pass-rushing prospect, the Raiders would be fools to pass on him if they land in the top three slots.
