Las Vegas vs Indianapolis Colts 2022 Week 10: 3 Raiders to watch

DE Chandler Jones

I think I can speak for most of Raider Nation when I say Chandler Jones has been the biggest disappointment when it comes to player acquisitions this season. After coming off of a season where he totaled 10.5 sacks and 26 quarterback hits, he has only amassed a nearly non-existent stat line of .5 sacks and 6 quarterback hits.

He was brought in to essentially be the upgraded version of what they had last year in Yannick Ngakoue. With Jones on the other end of superstar Maxx Crosby, the Raiders were supposed to have what many considered to be one of the best duos in the NFL.

If there was any day for Jones to have his coming out party, Sunday against the Colts would be just that. The Colts go into this Week 10 matchup giving up the most sacks in the NFL with 35. They have also recently given the keys to the offense to second-year quarterback Sam Elinger after Matt Ryan was benched.

With the Colts struggling across the offensive line they are going to do everything they can to slow down Maxx Crosby. Expect him to get every type of double team the Colts have at their disposal. If Chandler Jones can take advantage of his matchups and get to Ehlinger early and often in only his 3rd career start, the 11-year vet might finally be able to give Raider Nation what they’ve been waiting for all season.
