Las Vegas Raiders vs Colts 2022 Week 10: Key matchups to watch

Ngakoue versus the Raiders o-line

Las Vegas will see former teammate Yannick Ngakoue on Sunday, and the former Raiders pass rusher was the recipient of praise from his former quarterback Derek Carr. Despite the kind words, expect Ngakoue to be motivated to wreak havoc versus the team that traded him away, which makes a potential revenge game a matchup to watch.

Ngakoue is second on the Colts roster with 4.5 sacks so far this season, behind only DeForest Buckner with 5.0 sacks respectively. Despite the carousel at the offensive line for the Raiders, they rank 19th with an average of 2.4 sacks allowed per game.

The unit has held up its own amid expectations that were as low as can be heading into the season, but an extra chip on Ngakoue’s shoulder could exploit what is largely an Achilles heel of the offense.

Ngakoue has 10 quarterback hits to his name this season, also behind Buckner who leads with 13. Las Vegas’ passing offense has been inconsistent due to consistent playcalling as well as Carr’s inaccuracy in completing just 62.3 percent of his passes this season, which is the third-lowest mark of his career. Adding consistent pressure on him in the pocket will only propel the struggles of this offense further on Sunday.
