The Las Vegas Raiders season has officially gone off the rails, but here are some keys to victory if they want to win in Week 10.
The Raiders 2022 season has been the complete opposite of what many expected going into this year. With the new regime, big off-season acquisitions, and coming off a 2021 playoff berth saying this team has underachieved is the understatement of the century.
For the first few weeks, there was a sense of justification for all the hype, but the ball just wasn’t bouncing our way. The team on both sides of the ball was stellar at during one half, and abysmal during another. The question mark was whether they could put 60 minutes together of the former.
So far that has proved to not be the case as they currently sit at 2-6 with three blown 17-point leads. For perspective, the franchise as a whole has only done five times in the entirety of its existence.
On the flip side of things, the Colts have fallen into a similar situation. Currently sitting at 3-5-1 on the season, they recently fired head coach Frank Reich and have also resorted to starting second-year backup quarterback Sam Elinger after the benching of recently acquired former Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan.
Neither team is where they want to be, nor are they where they were expected to be. With the way the Raiders have been playing as of late, there is no such thing as a “should-win game”. That being said, with where the state of the state is with the Colts, this may be the closest thing we see all season to just that.
If the Raiders are going to come out with a victory and try to salvage any semblance of a season, there are a few things they are going to have to take care of on each side of the ball this week against Indianapolis. Here are my keys to the game for them to do just that.
