Las Vegas Raiders: Keys to victory against the Colts in 2022 Week 10

Offensive Keys

Protecting Derek Carr

Ever since training camp, we knew this team was going to live or die by the offensive line. It had the biggest question marks, the most shuffling around, and the biggest worry about whether this group of guys would be able to get the job done.

Josh Jacobs has been the biggest beneficiary of the success this offensive line has had, ripping off 140+ rushing yards in three games straight while also getting in the endzone five times. Derek Carr on the other hand is experiencing the results of the bad side of this offensive line’s play this season.

We’ve seen this squad make Derek Carr worry in the pocket all season, most notably against the Jaguars last week giving up two sacks, ten hurries, and thirteen pressures.

The Colts’ front seven is undoubtedly the strongest part of their defense. With stars like Kwity Paye and Shaquille Leonard (the artist formally known as Darius), the Raiders will absolutely have their work cut out for them. Not to mention this being a revenge game Yannick Ngakoue has had circled on the calendar all season.

Week in and week out the Raiders’ success leans on this offensive line and Week 10 is no different. The Raiders have proven that they need some form of consistency and success from their passing game to compete and win games. There’s no better time to start than this week against the 11th-ranked defense in sacks.
