Las Vegas Raiders vs Indianapolis Colts 2022 Week 10: Studs and Duds
Dud – Raiders coaching staff from top to bottom
As we have covered several times in this article and in the past weeks, this Raiders coaching staff has been an absolute embarrassment on every level. They are being outcoached week in and week out and have given up 17-point leads three separate times this year. In Week 10 they were outcoached by a head coach that has literally never coached above the high school level.
The Colts outdid the Raiders in every statistical category and looked like the more disciplined and professional team despite the gulf in coaching experience on each sideline. The Raiders racked up 10 penalties for over 100 yards and many of them were foolish unforced errors that show a complete lack of focus and discipline.
This has been a failure at every level of the coaching staff despite what we thought was a promising sign in the preseason of the team looking crisp and organized.
The clearest weakness has always been the defense where nearly every player has been underachieving save for Maxx Crosby. Patrick Graham’s unit has had its fair share of injuries but there is no excuse for having no pass rush outside of Crosby and a unit that is historically bad in the red zone.
It is abundantly clear that the first guy to go has to be Graham from the coaching staff. Even if Mark Davis believes in the vision of Josh McDaniels and Dave Ziegler we can at least see that the offense is playing well in certain circumstances but the defense has been bad all season long. Davis seems to be holding on to the hope that he made the right decision by hiring this staff but who knows how strong his resolve will be if the Raiders continue to embarrass themselves week in and week out.
