Las Vegas Raiders vs Indianapolis Colts 2022 Week 10: Studs and Duds

Stud – Davante Adams

For as bad as this season has gone, at least Davante Adams has been as good as advertised through nine games. Aside from a few stinkers against Arizona and New Orleans when he was dealing with the flu, Adams has been everything we hoped he would be.

In a game where Derek Carr was missing two of his top targets, Adams was happy to pick up the slack and he responded with nine catches for 126 yards and a touchdown on 14 targets.

Adams made big catch after big catch and scored a huge touchdown in the fourth quarter that we hoped would propel the Raiders to victory. He failed to secure the catch on the ensuing 2-point conversion but still made a few big plays on the Raiders potential game-winning drive. He had a chance to make the game-winning touchdown on 4th down but the referees allowed Stefon Gilmore to get away with a ton of contact on the play.

As of this week, Adams has 57 catches for 784 yards and 8 touchdowns and will likely continue to get this type of attention from Carr but it probably won’t lead to many more wins. This is definitely not what Adams signed up for when he pushed for a trade away from Green Bay, but he is still a true professional and shows up to work every day.

It’s a shame that the Raiders will be wasting an incredible season from Adams but at least he is giving Raider Nation something to root for with his continued excellence.
