2023 7-round Mock Draft: Raiders hit the reset button at QB

. QB. Crimson Tide . Bryce Young. 2. player. 829

Many reports have indicated that the Raiders will have a new quarterback in 2023 so why not go out and get the guy many predict will be the best in his class with the second overall pick. Bryce Young has been tearing it up for Alabama for a few years now and is in the midst of another special season even if his team isn’t up to its usual standard.

The success of Jalen Hurts and Tua Tagovailoa this year has turned the opinions of a lot of folks on what Alabama QBs can be in the NFL and Young can follow in their footsteps. He is on the smaller side at 6-0 and 194 lbs but he can fill out a bit and still maintain his elite athleticism.

The Bama QB has many of the other traits you look for in an elite signal caller as he possesses great arm strength, and accuracy, and has shown he can read a defense. He also brings a level of mobility that seems almost mandatory in this era of the NFL but is not what you would describe as a running quarterback.

It is time for the Raiders to hit the reset button on the quarterback position and they get a great chance to do so by drafting Bryce Young. In addition to his physical qualities he has the mentality and poise, it takes to succeed in the NFL and he displays this on a weekly basis. He will look great in Silver and Black.
