2023 7-round Mock Draft: Raiders hit the reset button at QB

player. 821. . S. Jayhawks . Kenny Logan Jr.. 145

The Raiders safety group has been downright horrendous this year with Jonathan Abram getting released ahead of Week 10, Trevon Moehrig looking lost in space, and Duron Harmon showing his age on most plays. Grabbing Kenny Logan Jr. out of Kansas helps address the position right away with his aggression and toughness.

Logan is a two-year starter at Kansas, has solid physical tools at 6-0, 210lbs, and is not afraid to mix it up against opposing ball carriers. He racked up 110 tackles in 12 games last season for the Jayhawks and is on track to do the same this year with 80 in 10 games. Playmaking is his specialty as he has 5 interceptions and 4 forced fumbles in his 2.5 years as a starter and could bring that much-needed element to this Raiders defense.

There are some concerns about his discipline in space and a tendency to be over-aggressive but that can be channeled in the right direction with some coaching. His size makes him a compelling prospect and if he can match it with a good 40 time he may be snatched up by another team well before this pick.
