2023 7-round Mock Draft: Raiders hit the reset button at QB

861. . LB. Cougars . Keenan Pili. 188. player

We continue the theme of going primarily defense as the Raiders double down at linebacker by snagging Keenan Pili out of BYU. The Cougars have pumped out some excellent linebackers in recent years in Kyle Van Noy and Fred Warner and Keenan Pili will look to follow in their massive footsteps.

Pili tore his ACL 3 games into his junior season in 2021 but has come back with a vengeance this year and is having a very solid senior season. He projects as an inside linebacker at the next level but can stand to put on a few pounds to his 6-3, 233 lb frame if he wants to hold up against NFL blockers.

The senior linebacker was a rallying point for his teammates in 2021 after his injury and he would bring an element of leadership to a Raiders defense that is sorely lacking in this department. His immediate contributions would be on special teams and he could grow into a versatile defender for whoever is coaching the unit in 2023.
