2023 7-round Mock Draft: Raiders hit the reset button at QB
One of the primary weaknesses of this Raiders’ defense is the lack of any real presence on the interior defensive line. Neil Farrell and Bilal Nichols have tried admirably but the team has been lacking an elite-level defensive tackle since Richard Seymour decided to hang it up several years ago.
Enter Gervon Dexter from Florida who has all of the measurables and physical tools to be a dominant force in the NFL. Dexter measures an imposing 6-6, 313 lbs and uses every bit of that height to be a disruptive force on the inside. He has a quick first step and is a load for opposing interior linemen and even tackles when rushing from the outside.
We have seen massive defensive tackles like Dexter succeed in the NFL and names like Calais Campbell and Chris Jones come to mind when you watch him play. The Raiders absolutely need an imposing force in the middle of their defense and grabbing Dexter with the 33rd overall pick is a great place to start.
