The Las Vegas Raiders will take on the Denver Broncos in Week 11, and their rival will have some serious issues at the wide receiver position.

When it comes to the 2022 Las Vegas Raiders, the defense has been one of the worst in football this season. Between bad defensive tackle play, issues at linebacker, and players taking a step back in the secondary, this was not the first season anyone expected from new defensive coordinator Patrick Graham and his group.

Last weekend may have been the worst of the year, as Matt Ryan ran for nearly 40 yards on one play, Jonathan Taylor ran all over them all game, and the Silver and Black inexplicably lost to a Jeff Saturday-led Indianapolis Colts team.

In Week 11, the Raiders take on a divisional rival in Denver, a team who has had some serious struggles on offense this season despite spending big bucks, and draft capital on Russell Wilson this offseason. However, Wilson is not without weapons when his squad is healthy, but luckily for Las Vegas in this one, he will be severely shorthanded at wide receiver.

Raiders secondary will catch a break in Week 11

KJ Hamler and Jerry Jeudy have been ruled out for the Week 11 battle in Denver, and both play key parts in the Broncos’ passing attack. While Hamler is a good player, Jeudy has the talent to be a star in this league, so without both of them, you can expect a heavy dose of Courtland Sutton in the Broncos’ passing game on Sunday afternoon.

Signs pointed to Jeudy being out this week when he did not practice on Thursday, and ESPN’s Adam Schefter confirmed it on Twitter Friday night.

Regardless of who plays for Denver on Sunday, the truth is, this defense has to be a lot better than it has shown this season. The offense has been nothing to write home about either in 2022, but the defense is looking historically bad after being expected to take a big step forward.
