Las Vegas Raiders vs Denver Broncos 2022 Week 11: Studs and Duds

Daniel Carlson – Stud

Daniel Carlson’s afternoon didn’t start out great as the veteran kicker missed, to him at least, a chip shot field goal from 46 yards out in the second quarter. It ended his incredible streak of 41 consecutive made field goals which is three short of tying the NFL’s all-time record but it did not dull his confidence.

Carlson came through with 3 more field goals for the Raiders including two booming kicks from 52 and 57 yards out to keep the Raiders in the game against a stiff Denver defense. His game-tying effort in the fourth was from just 25 yards out but as we saw earlier in the game, nothing is a given when it comes to field goals in the NFL.

The Raiders’ offense has not been as dynamic as it has been in recent years but Carlson is still one of the best weapons in the NFL and one of the best at his position. He continues a tradition of special teams excellence for the Silver and Black and stepped up yet again in a major way for his team.
