Las Vegas Raiders vs Denver Broncos 2022 Week 11: Studs and Duds
Chandler Jones – Dud
It’s hard to criticize a defensive player after a performance where they gave up just one touchdown and only 16 points but Chandler Jones continued his disappearing act in Week 11. He was credited with 5 combined tackles but did not have a solo tackle or any other statistic against a poor Broncos offensive line.
The Broncos had given up 30 sacks in 9 games coming into Week 11 and the hope was that Jones would finally come through with a full sack for the first time this season. Instead, he was largely kept quiet but did make the initial pressure that allowed DB Tyler Hall to record the first sack of his career on a blitz.
Jones still has just half a sack on the year and the only thing that has kept him in the lineup is his solid play against the run. The Raiders brought him in as an upgrade to Yannick Ngakoue in that regard but also to bring a formidable pass rush but he has only half delivered on that promise. The Raiders still owe him a ton of money and finding a way to get some production from him will be a major priority for the rest of the season.
