Las Vegas Raiders: Team that could trade for Derek Carr

New York Jets

After losing to the Patriots 10-3 last week, the Jets have a very obvious problem on offense. While the team is loaded with talent at wide receiver and running back, recently drafted quarterback Zach Wilson is holding the entire team back and could potentially cause them to miss the playoffs entirely.

With a pressing need to move on, Carr could fit right into an offense that has invested many resources into its receiving weapons. Garrett Wilson is a superbly talented rookie receiver who would have a much more impressive stat line with competent quarterback play.  Youngsters Elijah Moore and Denzel Mims are full of potential and complement the veteran Corey Davis quite well.

At running back, Breece Hall will return from injury and he and Michael Carter will continue to form one of the best duos in the league. Behind an offensive line that has also seen its fair share of high-value investments, the team will be well-rounded with the addition of a veteran quarterback.

With slim options available in free agency, the Jets will likely have to swing a trade for a veteran in order to stay competitive in 2023.

With both Jimmy Garoppollo and Aaron Rodgers as potential options, they will be willing to spend whatever price is needed. As such, the Raiders could potentially get more from the Jets in a trade than they could from others as New York desperately seeks to compete for the first time in many years.
