Raiders 7-round 2023 NFL Mock Draft: Madd Maxx gets some help

. WR. Volunteers . Jalin Hyatt. 71. player. 839

The Raiders offense has been good in 2022 but the primary element missing has been a consistent deep threat. Derek Carr has connected with Davante Adams deep several times but he has missed plenty when trying to hit Mack Hollins or Keelan Cole down the field. Adding a dynamic weapon like Jalin Hyatt could unlock a new element to the offense as he has game breaking ability.

It may be unlikely that Hyatt lasts until the third round with the way he has been climbing draft boards but that may change now that his QB Hendon Hooker is out for the season with a torn ACL. Hyatt made his big debut this season with 64 catches for 1,181 yards and 15 touchdowns in 11 games after two seasons with 500 yards combined. Some of the concerns around Hyatt are about him being a one year wonder but sometimes it takes the right situation to get the best out of a player.

Hyatt can come to Las Vegas and learn from one of the best route runners of all time to expand what some call a “limited route tree” and will not have the pressure of being the number one target. As long as he can make room for the underneath targets for Davante Adams and Hunter Renfrow then he can be an immediate difference maker for this offense.

The Raiders deep ball offense has not been the same since the release of Henry Ruggs and Hyatt can bring back that quick strike element to the Silver and Black.
