Raiders 7-round 2023 NFL Mock Draft: Madd Maxx gets some help
The Raiders will likely be losing Foster Moreau to free agency this offseason unless he accepts a cut-price deal so they will be on the market for a young tight end. With the money being given to Darren Waller they will also not want to spend much on the position so using a late-round pick on a solid player in Musgrave would be a great decision.
Musgrave has prototypical size at 6-6, 255lbs and ran a great 40 for his size at 4.51. He has great athleticism for a guy that big and has the straight line speed to run past a lot of linebackers and even some defensive backs charged with covering him.
The Oregon State star has not been overly productive with the Beavers with 47 catches for 633 yards and 2 touchdowns in 20 games but he has all of the physical traits to make plays in the NFL. Being able to deploy Musgrave as a backup tight end gives the Raiders another jump ball threat and another element to their offense. His blocking is still a work in progress but as is often the case with young players, that can be coached and taught if he is a willing learner.
