Las Vegas Raiders: Things Raider Nation should be thankful for in 2022
By Jason Willis
While the season has certainly not gone as planned, this is the time of year to be thankful. If you’re a Raiders fan, these four things are on your list.
Through the first ten games of the season, the Las Vegas Raiders are 3-7. A colossal failure from a team that made the playoffs just a year ago, members of Raider Nation might be struggling to find reasons to stay invested.
Of course, the recent win over the Denver Broncos is sure to have spirits lifted at the dinner table this Thanksgiving, but the harsh reality of being 3-7 still exists. When looking for things to be thankful for in Las Vegas, it would be much easier to create a list of players and coaches who did not reach expectations.
Despite this, the Silver and Black somehow still have several players that are among the NFL’s very best. While players like Chandler Jones and Darren Waller haven’t exactly met expectations, Davante Adams and Josh Jacobs have met them and then some.
Still, it is the time of year to be thankful. After all, there are still a few NFL teams who have it worse than the Raiders. The 1-8 Houston Texans, whom the Raiders beat, come to mind as a team who is already firmly set on the 2023 season.
If you’re sitting around the table this holiday, make sure you consider these four things when you’re giving thanks.
