Raiders RB Josh Jacobs making his case to be an All-Pro this year

Las Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs went from question mark to arguably the NFL’s best all within a few months.

It might seem like an afterthought now, but at one point, the future of Jacobs was the subject of intense debate. First, new general manager Dave Ziegler declined the fifth-year options of 2019’s first-round draft class, Jacobs included. At that time, it made sense considering the drop-off in production from No. 28 combined with what many feared was a decline in health.

Once that part of the offseason concluded, you had people sharing theories that Jacobs was trade bait during the preseason. In particular, this notion gained steam after the Hall of Fame Game, where Jacobs saw plenty of action as the only key offensive starter to do so. Of course, head coach Josh McDaniels shot down that notion vehemently.

However, in all likelihood, not even McDaniels knew what he had in Jacobs heading into the regular season. Right now, Jacobs is playing on another level, and yes, he will be an All-Pro. quite the transformation in such a short amount of time.
