Raiders 2023 7-round mock draft: Las Vegas needs met in draft haul

146. player. 812. . LB. Buckeyes . Steele Chambers

The Raiders double down on linebackers in this mock draft and they get a potentially great one in Ohio State’s Steele Chambers. Aside from having a great name, Chambers is a great athlete that played running back his first two years before transitioning to linebacker where he has shined.

Chambers played a small role in 2021 but has become a full-time starter this season and has helped solidify one of the better defenses in the country. He has good size at 6-1, 232lbs which is not overwhelming but he is not undersized as many of the linebackers taken at this point of the draft generally are.

There is some concern about him learning a new position which has been the issue with a few of the Raiders drafted linebackers in recent history but two years there should be plenty of time. He also has the benefit of not having to start right away and can learn under Denzel Perryman and Divine Deablo before being asked to take on a bigger role.
