Las Vegas Raiders vs Chargers 2022 Week 13: Bold predictions

Keenan Allen limited to 10 receiving yards

Keenan Allen may have given the Raiders’ defense some bulletin board material with his comments earlier in the week. The Chargers’ wideout noted that it would be a mistake for Las Vegas to play a majority of man coverage, given that they do at the ninth-highest rate in the NFL.

His response to that strategy was, ““Barbecued chicken…No doubt…That means they’re dead.”

The Raiders’ defense seems to be unfazed by his comments, but they surely will use it as an extra chip on their shoulder. Las Vegas’ secondary hasn’t been among the best in pass defense, ranking 26th in the NFL through Week 13. But it is expected that they will get a standout nickel corner in Nate Hobbs back on Sunday.

Make no mistake that he will be eager to respond to Allen’s words, with his play on the field of course.

Allen is a talented route runner and an elite offensive playmaker, but he’s been shut out before this season. With some bragging rights on the line and the chance to throw a wrench in their postseason hopes, the Raiders can exceed expectations and limit Allen to a season-low 10 receiving yards.
