Raiders vs Chargers 2022 Week 13: Studs and Duds

Davante Adams – Stud

After a couple early drives where the Raiders and Derek Carr didn’t make an effort to get him the ball, Davante Adams got involved in the game and quickly took it over. The superstar wide receiver finished the day with eight catches for 177 yards and two touchdowns on 12 targets.

Adams came through with two long touchdowns including an incredible contested catch to give the Raiders the lead after a Los Angeles turnover. He also accounted for 70% of Derek Carr’s passing yards on the day and half of his completions.

Adams also very nearly made the biggest play of the day as he made what looked like an incredible one-handed catch on third and four late in the fourth quarter. The refs overturn the car after review, but it was still a play that only a superstar receiver could make.

The former Packer has been everything we hoped he would be and looks like a lock for a Pro Bowl and All-Pro spot as he is near the top of the league in receptions and receiving yards and is tied for the most receiving touchdowns with 12 in 12 games.

He gets a chance to keep that momentum going against a Rams defense that just gave up almost 400 yards passing to Geno Smith on Sunday afternoon.
