Raiders vs Chargers 2022 Week 13: Studs and Duds
Raiders Offensive Line – Stud
After a rough start to the season, the Raiders’ offensive line has rounded out into one of the strengths of the team. Last week they helped Josh Jacobs set career and franchise highs in scrimmage yards and helped the offense have another great performance in Week 13.
Davante Adams was incredible with almost 200 yards receiving and Josh Jacobs did some tough running with nearly 150 yards on the ground but none of that would have been possible without the big boys up front. They punished the Chargers’ weak run defense to the tune of 5.5 yards per carry and controlled the line of scrimmage on offense the same way the defensive line did on the other side of the ball.
The best stats of the day were for Derek Carr as he was almost untouched and, on several plays, had an eternity to sit back and watch plays develop before finding an open receiver. Carr was not sacked for the entire game and was hit just twice according to Pro Football Reference.
This was a major turnaround from the 5 sacks the Raiders gave up in Week 1 to the Chargers and though they were missing Joey Bosa, this is still a unit with Sebastian Joseph-Day and future Hall of Famer Khalil Mack. Both players barely registered a statistic and made no impact on the game.
The offensive line has come a long way from their early season struggles and has helped the offense get on track in a major way.
