Las Vegas Raiders X-Factors against the Rams in 2022 Week 14

Feed Adams versus Ramsey

There aren’t many noteworthy Rams players left on the field due to numerous injuries this season, but Jalen Ramsey still commands a presence in the secondary. All eyes should be on the matchup between Los Angeles’ safety and the Raiders’ Davante Adams, who is playing like the best receiver in the NFL over the past few weeks. Expect both All-Pros to be looking forward to this primetime matchup.

The last time Adams faced Ramsey was back in Week 12 of the 2021 season when the Rams traveled to face the Packers at Lambeau Field. Per Next Gen Stats, Ramsey lined up across Adams for 56 percent of his routes, with Adams catching all five targets for 41 yards with the former as the nearest defender.

It marked the most receptions given up by Ramsey to a receiver since Week 1 of the 2020 season.

Everyone knows that Adams embraces any cornerback matchup, but he should be especially motivated to go toe-to-toe with someone of Ramsey’s caliber. And the x-factor for the Raiders is to not shy away from this matchup.

Adams has been unguardable as of late and that should mean Derek Carr should give him the benefit of a doubt when lining up across Ramsey. Put the ball where only Adams can get it and trust your WR1 to win every matchup.
