The Raiders have gotten some solid play in recent weeks from Sam Webb and Tyler Hall but they need some depth beyond Rock Ya-Sin and anyone else they bring in during the offseason. Noah Daniels out of TCU would be a good fit as a depth player though some scouts have wildly different evaluations of him as a pro.
Daniels projects as a solid outside corner and has good measurables at 6-0, 210lbs which is heavier than most cornerbacks. He runs an excellent 40 time at 4.42 and scouts give him high marks in press coverage and say that he “tackles like a safety” which is a good sign for his versatility and approach to the run game.
The concerns around him are primarily on the injury front as he has played just 16 games since 2020. Because this is so late in the draft the Raiders can afford to take a gamble on an injury-prone player that has incredible upside and Daniels fits that bill perfectly. He can be an elite shutdown corner in the right circumstances but will of course have to stay healthy to reach that potential.
