Las Vegas vs Patriots 2022 Week 15: 3 Raiders to watch

Josh McDaniels

Yes, McDaniels is a Raider himself, and he very well warrants extra eyes keeping an eye on him come Sunday. Counting last week’s 17-16 loss to the Rams, seven of Las Vegas’ eight losses this season have come by one score or fewer.

In what feels like a broken record at this point, the Raiders actually held a 16-3 lead in the fourth quarter, only to see Los Angeles pull off a 14-0 scoring run to send the Silver and Black home with a loss.

Old habits die hard, but it remains to be seen whether McDaniels can rid the habit of playing not to lose.

No, barring some catastrophic turn of events McDaniels will not be cut loose by the end of the season. He’ll be back in Vegas for year two with the current regime, but he’d be smart to build some positive momentum before heading into a decisive offseason. A big factor will be to close out these games over the next month by any means necessary, including keeping the foot on the gas pedal no matter the lead.
