Raiders vs Patriots 2022 Week 15: Bold predictions

Josh Jacobs carries the team

No one has carried this team more on offense than running back Josh Jacobs. He is on a career-setting year and is one of the best, if not the best running back in the NFL this year. Through 13 games he has already amassed 1,402 yards, and 11 touchdowns and is averaging an impressive 5.21 yards per carry.

He has had two separate three-game stretches where he rushed for 105+ yards, including a stretch between Week 4-6 where he went for 144, 154, and 143 yards respectively with a total of six touchdowns.

He has also fought through injury along the way. He has had a lingering calf issue that has made him questionable the last few weeks and recently injured his hand in the game against the Rams, where he returned after heading to the locker room and put up 99 yards and a touchdown.

Whether you want to say that Josh Mcdaniels’ new scheme is the perfect fit for Josh Jacobs, or that he is playing lights out because the Raiders declined his 5th-year option and he’s on a contract year, there is no denying Josh Jacobs is a big reason the Raiders have five wins this year.

Opponents against this Patriots rush defense are averaging 111 yards per game and an insane 133 yards for home games. The Raiders can have a good bounce-back game this week if Josh can feed Josh. I think the Raiders will win this game as I mentioned earlier, but I think it will be ugly.

Look for Josh Jacobs to carry the load for this hot and cold Raiders offense, as they pull out a win against the Patriots in some sort of 18-9 scorigami type game.
