Raiders vs Patriots 2022 Week 15: Patriots to Worry About

Offense: TE Hunter Henry

Hunter Henry has quietly been a very solid and consistent option for the Patriots since joining the team last season. His stats don’t pop off the charts when you look at his overall yards and receptions, but he was tied for first in the league last year in touchdowns for all tight ends.

In the last four games for the Patriots since their bye week, Henry has amassed the most yards out of any pass catcher on the team hauling in 166 yards on 9 receptions including two games where he went for 60+ yards on only 3 receptions.

It is no secret that the Raiders’ pass defense has been among the worst in the league. Currently, they are averaging over 51 yards a game to tight ends and over 10 yards per reception. On the season Hunter Henry has racked up 406 yards on 28 receptions, averaging 14.5 yards per reception.

Obviously, his stats don’t knock you out of the park when it comes to some of the production you see around the league with tight ends. But Henry has been one constant throughout this Patriots passing game that has hopes of making the playoffs. He’s been on a roll lately since coming off a bye in Week 10 and if the Raiders are going to have any success in the passing game on defense, it’ll need to start with shutting down the 7-year vet.
