Raiders vs Patriots 2022 Week 15: Studs and Duds

Chandler Jones – Stud

Until quite literally the last play of the game and even the last seconds of the game, Chandler Jones was not having himself a great day. Before that dramatic play he had two tackles, two passes defended, and two QB hits but was not able to make any tackles for loss or take down an immobile Mac Jones.

He was largely stymied by Trent Brown with the exception of one third down rush and was quite anonymous throughout the game. Then of course the clock struck all zeroes and Jakobi Meyers made one of the dumbest plays in NFL history and Chandler Jones then made one of the most entertaining plays in NFL history.

Jones’ stiff arm and take down of Mac Jones en route to the endzone was hilarious on so many levels and it was especially sweet coming against the hated Patriots who have been on top for so many years while the Raiders were in the basement.

Maybe this play turns around all the bad juju the Raiders have dealt with since the Tuck Rule game or maybe it’s just another insanely fun play in an otherwise painful season for the Silver and Black.
