By Brad Weiss
The Georgia Bulldogs take on TCU for the National Championship on Monday, and here are the top prospects to watch for the Raiders by need.
With the 2022 NFL season over for the Las Vegas Raiders, all attention now turns to the 2023 NFL Draft, and the upcoming free agency periods. The Silver and Black had a more than disappointing campaign this past season, losing 11 of their 17 games, and doing so often in embarrassing fashion.
On Monday night, all eyes will be on the College Football Playoff National Championship Game, as the Georgia Bulldogs look to defend their title against the TCU Horned Frogs. Both teams are loaded with NFL talent, and here, we look at eight prospects to keep an eye on for the Raiders, based on need.

No. 8: Christopher Smith, S, Georgia
Going into the 2022 NFL season, many felt that Tre’Von Moehrig would take the next step forward and become at least a Pro Bowl candidate. Moehrig was outstanding for the Silver and Black as a rookie in 2021, but in the end, he took a major step backward in his development in Year 2.
That is why safety is a big question mark heading into the offseason, and while Moehrig will be back, the depth is just not there. Christopher Smith is someone to keep an eye on Monday night against TCU, because he may not have incredible size, but he does a tremendous job taking away deep halves of the field.
