Raiders 2023 NFL Draft: Ranking top CFP National Title prospects by need

No. 7: Max Duggan, QB, TCU

When it comes to the 2023 offseason for the Las Vegas Raiders, no position will be under the microscope more than the quarterback spot. With Derek Carr being benched the final two games of the season, and then walking away from the team, he is not going to be the man under center when the Raiders open their 2023 season.

Looking ahead to the 2023 NFL Draft, his successor is not likely coming, but a guy who could succeed the next starting quarterback in Las Vegas just may. One player to keep an eye on against Georgia is TCU quarterback Max Duggan, who has all the intangibles you look for in a starting quarterback at the next level.

Duggan is likely to be a Day 2 or 3 pick this April, as he does not have a first-round grade on him, so Las Vegas could end up striking gold after the first round. He would be a project player and would sit for a year or two behind whatever veteran they bring in to take over for Carr in 2023 and beyond.
