Raiders: Top 3 reasons to get excited about the 2023 NFL Draft

No. 3: Talent at positions of need

The Raiders go into the 2023 NFL Draft with plenty of issues up and down their roster, and most of them are the same as they had the year before. The offensive line does not have enough depth or starter-level talent, and the defense once again needs help on all three levels.

Up front along the defensive line, Las Vegas has one of the premier edge rushers in the game in Maxx Crosby, and veteran Chandler Jones really started playing well before an injury late in the season. However, they shuffled players in and out at defensive tackle, a position of need that could be targeted in Round 1.

Luckily for the Raiders, positions like offensive tackle, defensive tackle, cornerback, and even quarterback are well-represented in this draft class. Coming in with the No. 7 overall pick, Las Vegas should be able to bring in a player that can step right in and become a Day 1 starter for McDaniels and his staff in 2023.
