Top 3 most interesting 2023 opponents for the Las Vegas Raiders
Home vs New England
We start out with a rematch of one of the more exciting home games the Silver and Black played during the 2022 NFL season. With slim playoff hopes alive, the Raiders welcomed the New England Patriots to town in Week 15, and the fans were gifted with one of the weirdest endings to an NFL game in league history.
Going up against his former team for the first time as Raiders head coach in a regular season setting, there had to be some jitters for Josh McDaniels. However, Las Vegas did what they did most of the season, dominating the first half, and getting out to a 17-3 lead, one that would soon fade away.
New England would go on to score 21 unanswered points, taking a 24-17 lead, their first lead of the night, thanks to a Rhamondre Stevenson touchdown and Jakobi Meyers two-point conversion. However, it would be Meyers who would steal the show in this one, as the game looked to be headed towards overtime, but his lateral as time expired went into the hands of Chandler Jones, who raced for the game-winning touchdown.
In 2023, these two teams will be back at it again inside Allegiant Stadium, so one can only expect more fireworks.
