Away at Buffalo

The Las Vegas Raiders road schedule will feature one of the best teams in football next season, and a possible reigning Super Bowl champion in the Buffalo Bills. One of the more complete teams in the NFL, Buffalo seems destined to make another deep run through the AFC Playoffs, and it is going to be hard to see any team from the NFC take down one of the AFC powers this season.

Las Vegas has struggled mightily to go on the road in recent years, especially east. The difference in time zone has affected this team like no other, and with Derek Carr as the quarterback,  they have failed to show they can win when it is cold, making this matchup very interesting.

Of course, they could play Buffalo early in the year, and the cold won’t matter. Also, Carr is not likely to be the starter in 2023, so this matchup could have a very different feel to it than it would have if Carr was still around.

The truth is, any time you can go up against one of the best teams in the NFL it is a good barometer of how far you have come as a franchise. The expectation is that the Silver and Black are going to make some wholesale changes on this roster this offseason, and a matchup on the road against the Bills would show if the changes have paid off.
