The Las Vegas Raiders finished their 2022 NFL season with a 6-11 record, and here are the primary scapegoats for the disappointing year.

Going into the 2022 NFL season, many felt that the Las Vegas Raiders would be a team to beat in the AFC. Coming off their second playoff appearance since the 2002 season, Las Vegas seemed to put the pieces together for another run in 2022, but unfortunately, it would be a season all of Raider Nation would like to forget.

Here, we look at the scapegoats for what was one of the more disappointing seasons in recent memory.

Chandler Jones

One of the big reasons for the high expectations in 2022 was the fact that the Silver and Black had brought in All-Pro talent on both sides of the ball. On offense, the addition of Davante Adams was supposed to give Derek Carr the WR1 he had been lacking in his career, and on defense, Chandler Jones was supposed to be the missing piece opposite Maxx Crosby at defensive end.

Unfortunately, you would not even have guessed Jones was on the team for most of the season, and outside of a three-sack performance against the Los Angeles Chargers late in the year, he failed to live up to expectations. All told, he racked up 4.5 sacks and spent the last two weeks of the 2022 NFL season on IR.
