Raiders have a good chance to play against Derek Carr in 2023
Road: Miami Dolphins, Indianapolis Colts, Chicago Bears
Now we turn our attention to some road games for the Silver and Black, and where the team may see Carr pop up in 2023. With a notorious reputation for struggling in cold weather, one of these teams may not seem like a great fit, but we will go into why it could be a destination below.
That first team is the Chicago Bears, who hold the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, a pick the Raiders may want to go after. Also, Las Vegas may want to try and trade for Justin Fields, so there are a number of different ways things could go that could land No. 4 in the Windy City.
The two other franchises make a bit more sense, as the Miami Dolphins have to figure out what they plan to do with Tua Tagovailoa moving forward. The concussions have been mounting for Tua, and at some point, it becomes a long-term safety issue as to whether or not they keep trotting him out to be their starting quarterback.
Miami is a playoff team this season and has the kind of offensive weapons that make this a desirable destination for Carr.
Finally, there is the Indianapolis Colts, a franchise that has had a revolving door at quarterback since Andrew Luck retired unexpectedly. They had success with another former AFC West quarterback in Philip Rivers a few years back, so maybe they dip into the divisional talent pool once more this offseason.
