Following a disappointing season in Las Vegas, the Raiders are slated to pick seventh overall in the 2023 NFL Draft. However, should they look to move higher?

When it comes to the NFL Draft, it has been a bit of a mixed bag for Raiders fans. Over the last several years, the Silver and Black have made numerous decisions in the Draft that have left fans both excited and curious.

After going 6-11 in 2023, the Raiders will once again have a premium selection at number seven overall. In recent history, the team has selected such luminaries as Khalil Mack and Amari Cooper with their first-round picks. Unfortunately, they have also wasted such picks on players like Clelin Ferrell, Damon Arnette, and Johnathan Abram.

This year, it is imperative that Las Vegas hits on their first-round pick. With high-end talent scattered throughout the team, they must use this premium selection to fill one of the glaring holes that the roster no doubt has.

Contrary to recent seasons, the Raiders will be looking to add at the game’s most important position, quarterback. With Derek Carr likely to be playing for another team, Dave Ziegler and Josh McDaniels could be looking to add a young passer in the first round.
